Becky Lynch Becomes The Longest Reigning Raw Women’s Champion

The Man has come around to collect debt and break records, and she has added another one to her name. Despite losing last night’s triple threat match, Lynch is still the Raw Women’s Champion. With 232 days and counting, she has officially surpassed her old nemesis Ronda Rousey to become the new longest reigning Raw Women’s Champion.

She defeated no other than Ronda Rousey to begin this championship reign. Although she started her reign as ”Becky 2 Belts”, she would quickly lose her SmackDown Women’s title to Charlotte Flair, following an interference by Lacey Evans. This would lead to two more championship matches between them, culminating in the main event of Extreme Rules in a ”winners-take-all” match. Lynch and Rollins successfully retained their championships.

Her next challenger was Natalya, who had the home country advantage in Canada at SummerSlam. The two squared off in a Submission match, in which Natalya ultimately tapped out to Disarm Her.

Soon after that, Sasha Banks returned with her eyes set on Becky’s gold, resulting in two championship matches, a draw at Clash of Champions and a hard-fought Hell in a Cell match, where Becky submitted Banks, in what would be her first win over her on the main roster.

She has certainly cemented herself as one of the top Superstars in recent years and this record solidifies that. We will have to wait and see whether anyone steps up and dethrones her in the near future.
