Vince McMahon Still High On Asuka Despite Paul Heyman’s Departure

According to a new report by WrestleTalk, Vince McMahon still hasn’t lost faith in the current Raw Women’s Champion Asuka, despite Paul Heyman leaving the creative team. There have been speculations that because he left, many Superstars would lose their spot on the card.

Since winning the title, Asuka hasn’t had a decisive win over Nia Jax and has lost to Charlotte Flair, which lead to fans speculating she is one of the Superstars who Vince may have soured on. WrestleTalk reports that it was done more to protect Nia Jax, rather to hurt Asuka, but that Asuka is still viewed as an incredibly skilled and reliable worker.

Asuka is currently only the second women’s Grand Slam champion, has won multiple first-evers in her career, including women’s Royal Rumble and TLC matches and has won more PPV main event matches than any woman in WWE history. Safe to say, she is still booked as their top priority.
