Raw Results – July 27, 2020 (2 Beltz Banks)

Nia Jax came out to cut a promo after Randy Orton’s speech. Jax knew how Orton felt because she woke up this morning wanting to be Raw Women’s Champion. She was screwed by the referee in her last chance and Charlotte Flair stepped in line in front of her. Charlotte hasn’t been seen since. Shayna Baszler interrupted. Baszler got in Jax’s face and said nobody gave a damn about what she wanted. Jax attacked her and they brawled until referees separated them.

Andrade & Angel Garza (w/Zelina Vega) defeated The Viking Raiders and Ricochet & Cedric Alexander. The Street Profits applauded the winners. Andrade and Garza attacked them and ran away before the Profits could retaliate.

Nia Jax vs. Shayna Baszler

Jax spoke with the referee John Cone before the match. They brawled on the outside until Cone counted them out. Jax appeared to have the edge in the brawl. They continued to brawl after the bell and attacked security who tried to stop them. Referees finally managed to hold back Baszler.

Result: Double Count Out

They showed Mark Henry speaking with Ruby Riott and Bianca Belair in the back.

Raw Women’s Championship: Asuka vs. Sasha Banks

Kairi Sane chased Bayley to the back immediately after coming out, seemingly evening the odds before the match even began. Asuka got off to a quick start before Banks was able to turn things around after escaping an armbar. Banks grabbed the Raw women’s title from ringside and threw it into Asuka’s arms to try for a cheap DQ win, but the ref didn’t believe it, tossing the title from the ring as Asuka landed a big kick to Banks’ head. Asuka — dealing with a strong Banks’ attack on her leg — brought heavy striking Banks’ way but Banks ducked a backfist into a roll-up for a near fall.

Banks locked up the Banks Statement, but Asuka managed to counter and almost locked up an Asuka Lock before Banks knocked her from the ring and dropped her leg-first on the announce table. Asuka barely broke the 10 count, only to find herself locked in a crossface, but Asuka reversed into an ankle lock. The match was broken into with Bayley brutalizing Sane backstage. Asuka was distracted by the beating put on Sane and Sane screaming for Asuka. With Banks down and out, Asuka ran from the ring to save her friend, taking the 10 count loss, and losing the title in the process.

Winner: Sasha Banks (New Champion)

After a break, Caruso let us know that Asuka and Sane were in the trainer’s room. Bayley and Banks appeared to loudly celebrate for a moment. After they left, Asuka emerged from the trainer’s room in tears. She yelled in Japanese.
